“Does this sort of thing exist anywhere else?”
North Wales village’s 9-day-long festival returns
The Eryri village of y Felinheli has a lot to be proud of, from its strong footballing tradition which stretches back to the 1890s, to the fact that it used be an international industrial epicentre, housing a shipping port for the second largest slate quarry in the world at the time...
28.11.24 Gŵyl y Felinheli will celebrate this Christmas in a slightly different way!
As usual, everyone will be very welcome to Gŵyl y Felinheli’s Christmas Market. This event has become a village tradition, and is an opportunity for everyone to get together before the hustle and bustle of Christma. It's also nice to see so many familiar faces who have left the village to live, work or study.
The market itself includes produce stalls, music by a brass band, carol singing, Siôn Corn for the children, and mulled wine and mince pies. But a new element was added to the event last year; a Christmas-themed cake competition. The competition was so successful that we’ve decided to hold a similar one this year.
